Who are we?
Why we exist
People are in pain, can’t do what they love, and struggle to find the right support.
We exist to solve this problem.

02
our core values
Patient First
Honesty over hubris, patients over profit, and empowerment over dependency. If it’s important to you, it’s important to us.
Expert Care
We combine significant experience with evidence-based care. Seriously, we nerd out on this stuff.
Simple, Not Simplistic
Your pain may be complex, but your solution doesn’t have to be. You’ll have a clear path to recovery.
Movement Optimism
Humans are resilient and wonderfully adaptable. We lean into this, rejecting a pessimistic view of pain and performance.
Growth Mindset
We question, investigate, and challenge our own biases in a pursuit of an elevated standard of care.

I’m a physio with a love for helping people understand and overcome their pain. With a decade of experience (and the grey hairs to prove it!), I’m committed to using evidence-based practice to get you back on track. I enjoy translating the overly complex jargon into simple, practical strategies for pain management and injury rehabilitation. My goal is to help clients understand their pain from from a big picture perspective as I think this clarifies the day to day decision-making around pain and injury.
Personally, I enjoy philosophy and theology (I did a degree in this area!), running and lifting, training and coaching BJJ, and most of all loving and being loved by my wife and three gorgeous kids!
physiotherapy clinic
Abound Physio
We embrace a philosophy known as movement optimism. This approach argues that great physiotherapy is about finding the appropriate stimulus to catalyse healthy adaptation.
Simply put, we view humans not as machines but as ecosystems. In this way, treating a high level athlete with a sporting injury is surprisingly similar to the chronic low back pain sufferer. Both involve finding all the possible contributors and collaborating on a plan that provides short-term relief and long-term success.
It may also be pertinent to mention we don’t use outdated electrical modalities (TENS, ultrasound etc.), but we do use our hands of course!
