Abound Recovery Information
This will only take 3 minutes to read and is compulsory to use our recovery facilities.
Access & Amenities
- The gym is strictly accessible between 4am and 10pm, 7 days
- To turn on the lights and air conditioning, press the button on your left as you enter, and off when you exit
- Please note peak times (around Base Training classes) are usually between 5pm-7pm weekdays and Saturday mornings
- Please use your unique PIN provided once your onboarding is completed to open the smart lock shown in the video
- Please note there is a toilet in the building
- There is another bathroom including shower, which is located externally, as shown in the video
Regen8 Infrared Sauna: Important Information
Health:
WARNING: Consult your doctor before using the sauna if you have any health conditions, are pregnant, or take medication.
Do not use if you have:
Heart conditions
Low/high blood pressure
Circulatory problems
Bleeding disorders
Open wounds or skin conditions
Do not use it under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
General Safety:
WARNING: Use at your own risk.
Do not touch the heating elements (burn risk).
Do not pour water on the sauna or heaters.
Do not bring flammable items inside.
Do not sleep in the sauna.
Do not dry clothes inside.
Children under 16 are not permitted. 16-18 year olds must be supervised by an adult.
If you feel dizzy, faint, or unwell, leave the sauna IMMEDIATELY.
Emergency:
STOP BUTTON: Located inside the sauna. Press to turn off.
Preparation:
Drink water/ensure you’re hydrated before entering.
Control Panel:
Press the power button to turn on.
Set the desired temperature (maximum 65deg).
Set the timer (optional).
Use the light button to turn the light on and off.
During Use:
Monitor how you feel.
After Use:
Press the power button to turn off.
Please wipe down any excessive sweat.
Maximum time limit at 65 degrees: 30 minutes.
New members: ensure you’ve completed onboarding and signed the waiver.
Report any malfunctions or other issues to staff.
The gym is not responsible for any health issues arising from unsupervised sauna use.
Please leave the sauna clean for the next user. We recommend sitting on your towel.
Hypervolt 2: Important User Information
Electrical Safety:
DANGER: Unplug after use and before cleaning.
Do not use near water (bathing, showering, etc.).
Do not drop into water.
Use only the supplied charger.
Do not charge unattended or overnight.
General Safety:
WARNING: Unplug when not in use.
Do not use under blankets or pillows.
Keep away from children (16 and under should not use).
Use only as described in this manual.
Do not use if damaged (cord, plug, dropped, wet).
Keep cord away from heat.
Do not block air openings.
Do not insert objects into openings.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use near aerosol sprays or oxygen.
Do not use on soft surfaces (bed, couch).
Keep away from loose clothing and jewelry.
Keep hair away from the device.
Do not disassemble.
Do not use continuously for more than 1 hour (rest 30 minutes).
Unplug after charging and before use.
Usage Warnings:
Use only on dry, clean soft tissue.
Do not use on hard or bony areas, including the head.
Stop immediately if you feel pain or discomfort (beyond light soreness).
Do not use on bruised, contused, rash, or irritated skin until healed.
Keep fingers, toes, and hair away from the attachment head.
Consult your doctor if you are:
Pregnant
Diabetic (with complications)
Wearing a pacemaker
Recently had surgery or injury
Epileptic or migraine sufferer
Have herniated disks, spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis, or spondylosis
Recent joint replacement or IUD
Metal pins or plates
Have any concerns about your physical health.
Basic Operation
Power: Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on.
Speed: Press the power button to change speeds (1-3).
Attachments: Change attachments only when the device is off. Pull straight out to remove, push firmly to insert.
Charging: Connect the charger to the port and wall outlet. The LED light band shows the charge level.
Cleaning: Turn off and unplug. Wipe with a damp cloth.
Normatec Compression System: Important User Information
Emergency Stop:
If you experience severe pain, unusual symptoms, or need to remove attachments urgently:
Press the power button to stop the device.
Disconnect the hose from the device or attachments.
Remove the attachments from your limbs.
Consult your healthcare practitioner promptly.
Electrical Safety:
Use only the provided power supply.
Do not use near water (bathtub, sink, pool, etc.).
Do not spill liquids on the system.
If damaged (power supply, device, etc.), turn off and unplug the system.
General Safety:
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the system. (Voids warranty)
Keep ports and hose connections free of debris.
Do not puncture or damage attachments.
Do not leave babies or children unattended with the power supply or hose (strangulation risk).
Choking hazard, keep away from small children.
Do not allow children, pets, or liquids to damage the system.
Do not allow lint or dust to accumulate. Wipe with a dry cloth before use.
Do not walk while wearing attachments.
Attachments are for single-person use only.
Do not hold the unit by the hose.
Health Warnings:

Inflammation
Infection
Pain of unknown origin
Bleeding (internal or external) at or near the application site
Wounds at or near the application site
Sensitive skin
Do not use if you are under a physician’s care or have a contraindication for medical devices.
Basic Operation
Connect attachments to limbs.
Connect hose to device and attachments.
Plug in the power supply.
Turn on the device using the power button.
Select desired settings (pressure, time, etc.).
Relax and enjoy the compression.
When finished, turn off device, and disconnect all connections.
Abound Gym & Recovery User Agreement
This agreement is required for all users—casual or members—before using the gym or recovery facilities.
1. Safe Use of Facilities
You agree to follow all posted safety instructions, use equipment responsibly, and ask for help if unsure.
2. Unsupervised Access
This is an unsupervised facility. You use the gym and recovery areas at your own risk and agree to take full responsibility for your health and safety.
3. Training Alone
If training alone, you must use a personal safety app (e.g., FallSafety, Apple Emergency SOS) or check in with someone you trust. We recommend training with a partner whenever possible.
4. Emergency Procedures
You must familiarise yourself with emergency exits, first aid kits, and evacuation signage. In case of emergency, call 000 and follow the posted instructions.
5. Fire and Electrical Safety
Do not tamper with fire equipment, electrical outlets, or alarms. Keep all exits and equipment clearance zones clear.
6. CCTV
CCTV is in use to support incident review and facility safety. It is not live monitored.
7. Health and Medical Conditions
You confirm you are medically fit to use these facilities. If unsure, consult a health professional before participating in any activity.
8. Cleanliness and Hygiene
Wipe down equipment after use, return items to their place, and maintain good hygiene. Cleaning supplies and towels are provided.
9. Children and Guests
No one under 16 is permitted unless approved in writing. Guests are only allowed with prior permission.
10. Personal Belongings
Keep your valuables with you. Abound Gym & Recovery and Base Training Centre North Lakes are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
11. Behaviour and Conduct
Unsafe, disrespectful, or aggressive behaviour will result in immediate suspension or cancellation of access.
12. Booking and Access
Some equipment and areas must be booked. Please show up on time or cancel in advance if you can’t attend.
13. Facility Use and Liability
Abound Gym & Recovery operates as a separate business within the Base Training Centre North Lakes premises. By using this facility, you agree not to hold Base Training Centre North Lakes, its owners, or staff liable for any injury, loss, or incident related to your use of the Abound facilities.
14. Acceptance of Risk and Waiver
You acknowledge the risks involved in physical activity and unsupervised use of facilities. You waive any liability against Abound Gym & Recovery, its team, and Base Training Centre North Lakes for any injury, illness, damage, or loss incurred.
