“Everyone’s journey is different and transitioning to civilian life can be rough. I’ve been working with vets for years and would love to help you overcome the injuries you sustained while serving.”
Veteran Care | Abound Physio
For over 7 years, we’ve been helping people in our community just like you overcome pain, regain their strength, and get back to doing the things they love.
But what sets up apart?
One, you’ll be treated by an experienced physiotherapist with a proven track record of helping veterans achieve their goals. We love new graduates, but you won’t be seen by one here.
Two, we are a small, boutique and patient-tailored clinic which means you will not be lost in the crowd!
Three, we have expertise in both hands-on therapies and exercise interventions. With access to both a new treatment room and a 70m2 gym, you’re in the right place to kick goals!
Questions
You may be able to receive physiotherapy services if you have an assessed clinical need and: a Veteran Gold Card or Veteran White Card and your treatment is for an accepted service-related condition.
You must also have a valid and current referral (D904 form) from your general practitioner (GP). For more information, see here.
This service is under the Allied Health Services treatment cycle. There are two procedures depending on your status. For White Card and Gold Card holders, your referral will last for up to 12 sessions or 1 year, whichever comes first. There are no limits to the number of treatment cycles you can have. For TPI Gold Card holders, your referral lasts for 1 year and you can receive treatments during this time.
We work closely with several GPs in the area with patients holding DVA cards, and of course we are happy to liaise with GPs outside our current referral network. You can simply give our details to your GPs clinic staff in order for our team to be a part of your care.
No out-of-pocket expense for DVA physio sessions! We handle all billing and update reports with your GP. We’ll let you know when you’re due for another D904/referral form if this is the case.
